There is no logical reason to leave a cozy house in November or December to stand in a German town square when it’s 32 degrees outside. None.
Except that somewhere around 4:30 PM, the streetlights flicker on, someone hands you a steaming mug of spiced mulled wine, the air smells like roasted chestnuts and gingerbread, and suddenly you realize this is entirely the point.
